Isolation, In Your Words
Commissioned by the BBC for Culture in Quarantine, Isolation, In Your Words is a 14-track musical documentary about life in lockdown, created around the words of the British public.
The project features the voices of 45 people speaking at the height of lockdown, woven into a modern soundtrack through lyrical storytelling and verbatim techniques, combining the diverse musical backgrounds of writers Mandeep., Leanne Sedin, Kevin Fox and producer Zar (Arun Dhanjal).
Blurring the line between songwriting and social research, and moving effortlessly between genres as varied as the voices themselves, Isolation, In Your Words stands as a musical snapshot of this unique moment in history.
